Worst Experience At This Moving Company

I never write reviews but I think I should share my experience. I don’t doubt the good reviews but I feel like it really depends on the crew you get on the day of the move. I’ve moved 7-8 times since I moved to Texas and I have never experienced anything like this. The crew seemed inexperienced and not professional. I was moving from a one bedroom apartment to a house. I’ve moved a bunch of stuff myself prior to the move day to save some time. It took them 3 hours to wrap up all the furnitures and 7.5 hours to complete the job which costed me $1432. Here is a list of EVERYTHING. A queen size SleepNumber bed with the adjustable base Two dressers Two nightstands A computer desk A computer desk chair Two bar stools A keyboard stand A guitar stand A projector stand A canvas A book shelf An ottoman An area rug A space heater A dehumidifier A trash can 12 boxes (4 big and 8 medium to small) A queen size bed frame just the outer rim to be disassembled and toss in the apartment complex dumpster. I have two dressers and a mirror that got demanded. I also found a pair of socks (obviously not mine since I packed everything in boxes, and I would never put socks in my bookshelf) in one of my bookshelf drawers. It’s so bizarre to me how that got into the drawer. I also had to hire someone to deep clean the carpet for the mud stains the movers left which costed me another $460. It started raining when they got to the new house. They were just gonna walk on the carpet with the muddy shoes. I stopped them and laid down some pads but I guess they were still not careful where they stepped on. I’m currently working through this with the manager who seems to be professional and understanding. I hope we can get this resolved. Update 6/28/2024: I received a claim settlement of roughly $1100 which included paying back 3 hours of moving time (originally charged for 7.5 hours), $100 for the dressers and $460 for the carpet cleaning. The manager seemed professional.
